Toke Makinwa took to her twitter page to speak out against the sharing of the suicide note as she explained it would encourage people who are feeling suicidal to follow in the same direction. She appealed to media houses and bloggers to not share the content of the suicide note.
She wrote:
“I know bloggers/news houses have a job to do but sharing that young man’s suicide note on the internet is distasteful,dangerous and just wrong. Pls lot of people are on the edge, we don’t want to encourage them indirectly. Make it stop”
