1) Drinking less drinks and avoiding caffeine and alcohol can help.

2) Avoiding smoking and maintaining a healthy weight may also be beneficial.

3) Bladder training, which involves not holding in urine when you feel the urge to urinate.

4) People can gradually increase the time between toilet visits to train the bladder to hold urine for longer and reduce the frequency of urinary urgency.

5) Physical therapy which strengthens the pelvic floor muscles to support the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the body.

6) Taking medications such as antibiotics which will help to relax the bladder.
