Hi there, thanks for the feedback on the previous post about this topic of discussion, it means alot to me.

I’m gonna be rounding it up in this post shortly, and I would love us to make use of one or two things I will be dropping, it helps… You can aswell share it with people around you.

The last time we talked about consistency as the key to overcoming addiction, and I made us to realize that, having the solutions isn’t just enough, but we have to be consistent. Now what does CONSISTENCY means.

 

CONSISTENCY simply put, means “repeating or reapplying a method or way of doing something, often or time to time” (this is my own breakdown definition, you can do research for more simple explanation) So, going by this definition of consistency, we can now move forward to how to apply it on addiction, which is very simple… But with determination for a positive change.

 

If for instance, its prayer you want to use in fighting addiction, which with your personal belief you know it can help you, why not schedule and refocus on how you pray, change it from once in a week to everyday, then from once in a day to twice, and from twice to three times, making sure you stick to your plan. If it is distracting yourself you wanna adopt for overcoming the temptation of avoiding that bad habit, why not do it more often, do it again, and again, and then look at the result at the end of the day.

 

What I’m say, in actual fact, it looks easy but its not, it only take a ready and determine heart to apply consistency in overcoming that addiction. Whatever you pick up as solution, don’t stop after trial, do it continuously again, and again, for days, weeks, months and probably a year till you see yourself overcoming it, and that is when you can say you have positively and successful use CONSISTENCY in tackling that habit.
