More clubs in Surulere and Victoria Island were raided by men of the Lagos State Police Command on 9th January arresting managers and clubgoers for flouting the COVID-19 protocols.
Due to the second wave of the coronavirus, bars and nightclubs in the state have been barred from opening to curb the spread of the virus.
A team led by CP Hakeem Odumosu, the Commissioner of Lagos State Police moved across the state to enforce protocols with the aid of the Lagos Safety Commission.
The raid resulted in the arrest of a number of people clubbing at Lounge 38, Surulere at about 1am. The 12 to 4am curfew at Marland was not also being observed thereby leading to the arrest of scores. The Safety Commission also sealed Victoria Club in Victoria Island after arresting some people.
